You Can't Handle the Truth!

Right off - Let me say this - “the Colonel was and is right!” That is - if he was spiritually speaking. Some of you may not know of the movie but probably most of you do. It was called “A Few Good Men.” You can go to Youtube and find the clip where the Colonel makes this statement in a court-martial conducted by the military.

But even though this was a made up military movie, it very well could be a type and shadow of the church today. I really hate to say this but this statement is relevant right now in the church. The church now has been pampered for so long and the ministry is so afraid to speak the truth it has become seeker friendly and full of itching ears instead of a place for the power of God and the Word (truth). It should be a place where the word is taught uncompromisingly.

Instead of preaching and teaching believers what they should be doing, the great commission, How to cast out devils, the Authority of the Believer, the Word of Faith, Healing the Sick, Setting the captives free, etc.., it has become a place of apology with absolutely no challenge or any responsibility placed upon them at all.

Its like what the Apostle Paul said in Hebrews 5:12, “For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat”. Also 1 Corinthians 3:1, “And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as spiritual, but as unto carnal (worldly, fleshly, childish), even as unto babes in Christ.”

Really to be honest, I believe the problem is that the church doesn’t want the truth. It’s strange because I have heard so many complain about not getting anything out of their church. I am asked a lot, “Pastor, why don’t they teach the things you do at your church?” Mostly I say “I don’t know” or most ministers don’t know what I know and wouldn’t preach it even if they did. Too many are just too afraid of losing their church members if they did so. I believe it’s better to fear God than men. I’ve had many try and tell me what and what not to preach. The Lord has said to me on several occasions that I must preach what He tells me or else. At times I have said to the Lord, “You know this teaching will get me in trouble don’t you?” He doesn’t answer. He doesn’t respond to resistance to His plan!

What do we need? Simply, “An Awakening.” By that I mean “Revelation Knowledge.” I was raised in church all my life and I can’t tell you one single time I ever received a Revelation of Truth. In other words, as I sat under the preaching, I never received an eye opening experience through hearing a new knowledge I did not know. Then one day I heard a preacher talk about becoming a “New Creature”. He explained how we become new creatures and what that means in our life. Wow - I didn’t know that. I heard another teaching on Romans 10:17 that faith simply comes by hearing. Wow - I had been asking for it. I found out it comes from the word only and not by any other other means. I found out I could have mountain moving faith through the Word.

Then one day I heard teaching on the five fold ministry. I learned about the Apostle, the Prophet, the Evangelist, the Pastor, and the Teacher. Then the Lord explained to me the difference between teaching and preaching. He said preaching was proclaiming a truth but teaching was bringing news to people and showing them how to apply it. Then I began to hunger and thirst for the truth. I started receiving the love of the truth. Then later he called me into the ministry and anointed me to be a teacher.

Thats what I have been doing for over 40 years now. My only problem is finding people today who want the truth. Probably most, “Can’t handle the Truth”. The truth brought me out of sickness to health, poverty and lack into prosperity, fear to faith, cursing into blessing. And, it all comes through knowledge.

Maybe you are one of the few who hunger for the truth. You want Revelation Knowledge. You may want real Bible Faith and Truth to set you and your family free.

Well, there is good news and bad news. The bad news is that you can stay where you are and continue to dry up and be robbed of what belongs to You. Or, you can take advantage of what we are offering and get out of your rut. You know, I am told the Marines are looking for a “few good men.” The Army is encouraging us to “be all that you can be.” We are also looking for “A Few Good Men” who we can help to grow up into the full measure of their potential. I can tell you this, “You have potential”! You just need someone to help you find it.
